This time [MOMENT] surprised public with 6 day programme. To support young and talented artists, it was decided to promote fashion designers together with young photographers, djs, vjs and film directors, who were given chance to present their short films.

For the first time in the Baltic countries, fashion, art and music were presented as multicultural lifestyle. Art and culture of artists home country will be shown by more than 30 different artists from 16 countries.

On the 2nd of November, 2007, in an empty and abandoned building in Riga (Audeju 12) a unique fashion event 021107[moment] took place. Its mission was to present the collections of the most talented young Latvian fashion designers. Event was also coloured by musicians and artists from Latvia and other countries with one common theme “fashion”, thus making Riga the metropolis of world art and culture, and providing new respiration for Rigas’ culture and night life.

5th [moment] in Riga

It’s an honour for us to announce that the 5^th [moment] in Riga has arrived (one we have managed to stage in St. Petersburg). The first four events in Riga have proved that [moment] is a long term project and is able to expand and diversify in all forms of expression. We will go back to the 80s at the „a301009 [moment] B4” this year.

„a301009 [MOMENT] B4” will be held on the 30^th of October 2009 at a symbolic Riga Radio and TV tower.

On the 31^st of October and the 1^st of November the [moment] exhibitions will be available to public audience for free. This year we will surprise you in an unusual manner.. The new [moment] will be created with the help of participants works and the mix of sound, illumination and music..

One would say that the moment of time is especially hard to convey technically. One of the [MOMENT] innovations will be an online broadcasting on the Internet here. By the way, you can keep the track of events on twitter.com - eventMOMENT (entering this name you will find us on youtube.com and other sites as well). [MOMENT] is a unique event, where the interaction of fashion, art and music performances can be seen in one show. The event will be held on the 30^th of October 2009 at a symbolic Riga Radio and TV tower. It will be one evening with participation of more than ten talented artists from all around the world – works of fashion design, visual art, photography and the direction of short films will be presented. The works of DJs and VJs will be presented as a special light and music performanc.

Van Rivers & The Subliminal Kid will perform at [moment] in Riga

The Swedish duo Van Rivers & The Subliminal Kid are perceived as one of the leading DJ tandems in North Europe. They spent their childhood together with different punk bands, but later both musicians realized that they have a much stronger passion for electronics. Today they play not only their own music, but also create different remixes for artists like Fever Ray, Lykke Li, Massive Attack, Bat for Lashes and many others. It was also them who produced the solo album of Karin Dreijer from The Knife. Currently they are touring together with her.
