Volunteer regulations

For the Riga Alternative fashion and arts [moment]week

1st Paragraph. [moment]week

Riga alternative fashion and arts week [MOMENT] is planned as different culture and experience exchange with the help of discussions, seminars, workshops and events. Riga fashion and arts week will offer a five day programme which will cover fashion, art and music in every creative aspect of them. Event will take place in the 2nd floor of Enkura nams, Andrejostas street 4a, Riga, Andrejsala. It is a wonderful opportunity to get an insight how voluminous events are organized and an opportunity to be a part of an historic moment when for the first time in the Baltic States an alternative fashion event in this proportion takes place.

2nd Paragraph.  Volunteers.

For a successful organization of the Riga alternative fashion and arts week the organizers attract volunteers who are going to fulfill different tasks before and during the event. The work of the volunteers is not paid, but they will have an opportunity to visit the different event of the [moment]week, if the before mentioned volunteer doesn’t have to fulfill other tasks.

3rd Paragraph. The organization of the volunteers

The volunteers will be trained before the event by giving them general information about the event, dividing them into groups, allocating tasks and transmitting other important information. Before and during the event volunteers will be divided into groups. Each group will have a group leader from the side of the organizers, who is going to be in charge of the organization of the groups before and during the event. If significant violations are made or if the volunteer doesn’t fulfill the below defined obligations, the group leader has the right to expel any volunteer from the group which means that the person is not a volunteer for the event anymore. The volunteer is accountable to the group leader during the process of organization and realization of the event.

4th Paragraph. Rights and obligations of the volunteers.

The rights of the volunteers

• To voice their proposals to his/hers group leader and other organizers of the event
• After fulfilling all the allocated tasks and informing the group leader 2 days in advance, to leave the position of the volunteer.

The obligations of the volunteers:

• To accomplish the allocated tasks, after hearing the description of it; to follow the directions and suggestions of the organizers and the group leader. To fulfill the allocated tasks in time and in an adequate quality;
• With their work not to cause any material and other losses for the organizers (Any material loss that is going to be caused by the volunteer will be paid by the volunteers private funds)
• With his/hers work to promote the achievement of better results;

While accomplishing the allocated tasks during the event, it is prohibited for the volunteer to be intoxicated (In this case the volunteer is expelled from the event)

5th Paragarph. Application.

To become a volunteer for the Riga Alternative fashion week the volunteer has to apply at the webpage of the event – www.moment.com.lv until the 25th of march. After filling out an application for the best volunteers will be invited to personal interviews.
